Popular news website Metro recently featured The Ricky Casey Trust in one of its articles.
In the story, titled “'We have been left behind': Widow pleads for support for rare kidney cancer after losing husband at 48” — Trust founder Nicola Casey talks about her husband's illness and how she feels that rare cancers often go untreated due to a lack of awareness by medics.
The story comes as we near the end of March — Kidney Cancer Awareness month, and Nicola hopes that telling her story will help to shine a light on more rare forms of cancer, particularly Renal Medullary Carcinoma (RMC) which caused Ricky's death.
