Firefighter Josh McCarthy runs the Manchester Half Marathon for The Ricky Casey Trust

Firefighter Josh McCarthy completed the Manchester Half Marathon in aid of The Ricky Casey Trust. Josh, from Stalybridge, competed in the event wearing a full breathing apparatus set and cylinder — weighing 13.9kg — as well as a helmet, gloves, boots and full tunic and pants. He completed the event in a time of 03:26:17.
His effort raised over £1,000 for the Trust.
Many more people turned out to run alongside Josh in the event, which was a huge success for The Ricky Casey Trust. We would like to thank every single one of our runners of 2024 for their support. Together they raised nearly £8,000!
