A brighter future for David, thanks to support from The Ricky Casey Trust

A brighter future for David, thanks to support from The Ricky Casey Trust

David found us and reached out to us in July 2021 after being diagnosed with RMC. Like us he couldn't find any support in the UK until he found The Ricky Casey Trust.

Nicola wanted to help and support David on a personal level throughout his appointments and treatment as much as she could.

The Trust did what they could and was a great help, offering support and information, and providing links to contacts for David that helped him on his journey.

We are now pleased to say David is celebrating clear scans at the moment.

This is a real positive outcome, and we couldn't be more happy for David. It gives us huge hope for the future of The Ricky Casey Trust.

Here is what David had to say…

“It was a real blessing finding The Ricky Casey Trust. At the moment in the UK it's difficult to find any support regarding RMC. It's been very useful to know Nicola, not only because she's lovely but because she's been available on a personal level and also helped with contacts etc.

“We've also been comparing notes regarding how RMC affects the very limited people who we know have had it (including her late husband, Ricky) because it's such a rare aggressive cancer. I've found this helped me. I know this must be difficult.”

Trust founder Nicola Casey added: “I'm overwhelmed and David has handled everything amazingly, and I feel I have already done the job that I set out to do with starting up The Ricky Casey Trust. With all the team behind me I know we can do more.”

Here at the Trust we are wishing David all the best going forward and we will continue to be of support when needed.
